Southport Airshow 2008

Working for the Southport Airshow is certainly different from everyday air traffic control and the change is very enjoyable, if a little exhausting.

The "Black Cat" Lynx pilot had fun. He always gave us our own private display before landing.

The Vulcan display was on and then it was off, several times during the course of the weekend. Then we finally found out it was on again when he called up in the overhead fifteen minutes before his slot!

Due to the cancellation of the Royal International Air Tattoo, earlier this year, there were plenty of pyrotechnics that had to be used up - Kablooie!
